MySpace Profile 2.0
Today MySpace released their Profile 2.0! You can read all about it at Tom's blog.
Should I upgrade my profile to 2.0?
There's an upside and a downside to upgrading. Unfortunately none of the layouts, codes and contact tables made for the old profiles will work with 2.0, so if you are happy with your profile as it is or want to carry on using the tools provided by MyGen then you shouldn't upgrade yet. If you don't need all this then upgrading is definitely worth it, there are much more controls built in for customising your profile than before and personally I think the default profile looks much nicer! MySpace have made it so you can easily downgrade back to the old profile if you don't want to keep the new stuff so don't be afraid to try it out.
What does this mean for MyGen?
Many of the tools on MyGen will no longer be needed or completely changed to work with profile 2.0. This is a bit of a bummer but we're very excited for the greater possibilities it opens up. We're working on new stuff but we're working from scratch like everyone else so please be patient!
Once the community has had a chance to explore a bit more I have no doubt people will be creating better profiles than ever before. Profile 2.0 is a great step forward for MySpace and we will be there to help you guys make the most of it!

The image server is dead, long live the image server!
As most of you have probably noticed, our images have been up and down like a rollercoaster over the last few weeks and unfortunately our image server has finally given up the ghost.
"Oh noes!" I hear you cry, but fear not for I have moved them all over to a new server. It may take a while for your computer to update with the address but hopefully there will be no more problems after that.
We're very sorry for the inconvenience, unfortunately these things happen sometimes

MySpace Update
Today MySpace released a nice big update to their website.
Unfortunately, this has broken some of the codes used on MyGen. It should mainly affect codes that change the Navigation bar along the top of the profiles but others may also be acting weird.
If you have noticed anything broken with your profile then take a look in our forums to see if a fix has been found, and if there isn't then please post about it so we can figure out what does and doesn't work anymore
